The 2016 Global Folklorist Challenge has launched, the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage's third annual partnership with ePals/Cricket Media! For those of you unfamiliar with the project, it invites kids 8 – 18 to interview a tradition bearer/folk artist and share a video, slide set or audio recording with the world. The European Investment Bank (EIB) has announced the launch of the Eastern Partnership Secondment Programme for professionals from both the public and private sectors. Set up with the support of the EIB’s Eastern Partnership Trust Fund (EPTATF), the Programme is only open to nationals of five Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine) that have entered into a Framework Agreement with the EIB. European SME Week, under the patronage of the European Commissioner for Single Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, is launching a youth essay contest aimed at 16-25 year olds across Europe.
Rules
The competition is open to all 16 to 25 year olds from European Member States or COSME partners countries.
The title of the essay is “What can the EU do to encourage more young people to become entrepreneurs?”.
Essays must not exceed 2,500 words in length.
All essays must be in English.
