New Film Fund’s first round of selections has been announced

The films to be supported by the New Film Fund in its 3rd round have been selected. The fund received 150 applications. 3 shorts and 9 feature length documentary films have been selected to be supported by this year’s jury made up of Berke Baş, Zeynep Dadak, Melek Ulagay, Yeşim Ustaoğlu and Yıldırım Türker. The second application period in 2016 will be announced in September. Short documentary applications are accepted for production and post-production while feature and medium length films are for development, production and post-production stages.

Tandem Turkey 4th round Is ready to start

Tandem Turkey aims at establishing long-term collaborations between cultural organisations from Turkeyand the EU countries. After the Partner Forum in Şirince,20 organisations from Turkey and Europe are selected for the main phase of the Tandem Turkey’s 4th round.The next step for the participants will be the Kick Off Meeting in September in Berlin where they will start designing and planning their collaboration projects in more.

Armenia Turkey Cinema Platform’s winners announced

Armenia Turkey Cinema Platform held its 16th meeting in the framework of the Golden Apricot Film Festivalfrom July 11th to 13th. 10 projects from Turkey, Armeniaand its Diasporas attended to the workshop. The international jury members are: Cigdem Mater from Anadolu Kultur, Turkey, Melek Ulagay Taylan, producer and documentary director from Turkey, Cicek Kahraman, film editor, Turkey, Gaga Chkheidze, the founder and director of Tbilisi International Film Festival, Georgia,Gegham Manukyan, director, producer and head of Yerkir Media TV news & politics programs, Armenia, Seda Grigoryan, video production manager at Civilitas Foundation, Armenia, Hasmik Mikayelyan, cultural-education specialist in Public Affairs section of USA Embassy in Armenia and Susanna Harutyunyan, film critic, co-founder and artistic director of Golden Apricot International Film Festival. The jury decided to give 2 awards: Aurora’s Sunrise by Inna Sahakyan has been awarded 5,000 USD and Welcome to Anatolia by Arnaud Khayadjanian and Nefes Polat has been awarded 7,500 Euros.

KurdîLit Website was launched in Diyarbakır

Launched in June in Diyarbakır, KurdîLit Project is implemented in cooperation with Diyarbakır Art Centreand Lîs Publishing House, supported by Sivil Düşün EU Program, by the contribution of Literature Across Frontiers and Literary Europe Live Platform. 
KurdîLit Website will be presented in the scope of Malta Mediterranean Literature Festival in August.
