Narine has MA in Journalism from the Yerevan State University. She has worked as a reporter, editor and anchor in a number of media outlets. Narine joined Internews Media Support NGO (currently Media Initiatives Center) in 2001 and since then worked as a producer and editor of several radio programs. Starting from 2005 Narine has been coordinating Internews’ trainings working with various media experts on designing training modules and methodologies.
Capacity Building and Organizational Development Experience
Narine is a prominent journalist and producer with 25 years of experience. She is specialized in designing, organizing and conducting media trainings in various formats focused on journalism, media management, new media, convergent newsrooms, citizen journalism, and improving reporting on various topics. Safaryan managed over 350 courses that target emerging journalists, students, CSOs and citizen journalists. Narine produced hundreds of reports for radio and web. She has been the author of popular radio programs, and has been the founder and production manager of the experimental media center of the Public Radio of Armenia.
