We are looking for a talented individual with strong analytical, strategic vision and diplomatic skills to lead Alert’s engagement in the South Caucasus.
You will be responsible for evolving Alert’s peacebuilding strategy in the region, as well as ensuring high quality programming and output of the Caucasus programme, its contribution to positive peace outcomes aswell as the sustainability of the programme through new ideas and funding.
A major part of this role is to lead the EPNK Consortium (European Partnership for the Peaceful Settlement of the Conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh), facilitating cooperative relationships with Consortium members and the various EU interlocutors and liaising with the authorities in the region. The post-holder will effectively be the project manager of EPNK, working with a small project management team at Alert’s London HQ.
In addition to experience working at a senior level in an international environment, knowledge of peacebuilding programming and of the political, social and cultural context in the Caucasus, you will have a talent for managing a mixed and challenging portfolio of projects whilst being entrepreneurial in developing new ideas and concepts into practical programmes on the ground. You will have strong management skills, including ability to prioritise, plan, delegate and flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances; and excellent interpersonal skills, able to build trust and respect of key stakeholders and interlocutors in the region.
